Mango Tasting Event at Auchan in Dushanbe
To promote Pakistani Mangoes in Tajikistan, an event was organized by the Embassy of Pakistan in collaboration with Trade Development Authority of Pakistan on 30 August 2024. Over 500 persons including businessmen, members of diplomatic community, journalists, general visitors, as well as Pakistani diaspora attended the event, held at Auchan Supermarket, Dushanbe.
Different Dishes made from Pakistani mangoes were presented at the event. The guests enjoyed the Pakistan mangoes and highly appreciated unique aroma and sweetness of mangoes. During the event, different documentaries about Pakistan’s economy, tourism potential, and culture as well as different types of mangoes grown in Pakistan were screened along with Pakistani melodies.
Pakistan Mandarin (Kinnow) Show
Pakistan Mandarin Show was organized by Embassy of Pakistan, Dushanbe with support from Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) on 21 December 2024. It was the first Mandarin (Kinnow) show in Tajikistan organized by the Embassy. The event was widely appreciated and attended by a large number of locals & Pakistani diaspora. Along with different dishes prepared from oranges, a stall showcasing Pakistani culture was set-up. The event was inaugurated by Ambassador Muhammad Saeed Sarwar with First Deputy Chairman of Tajikistan Chamber of Commerce & Mr. Shoaib Ahmad Basra, Head of business delegation. In his speech, the Ambassador welcomed participants and shed some light on different varieties of kinnow produced in Pakistan. He further expressed his desire to work together and to increase business activities between the two countries. Prior to the show, a Business to Business (B2B) meeting was held in which many local businessmen participated and showed keen interest to import different varieties of oranges from Pakistan.
Cultural event on the margins of High-level Water Conference
On the sidelines of 3rd High-Level International Water Conference which was held in Dushanbe on 10-11 June 2024, Pakistan Embassy in Dushanbe participated in the cultural event. The Embassy showcased Pakistani artifacts and Pakistani cuisine. Honourable Foreign Minister of Tajikistan, other local and foreign dignitaries, resident Ambassadors and large number of people visited Pakistani stall and showed interest in Pakistanis artifacts and enjoyed Pakistani food.
International Museum Day
On the occasion of International Museum Day observed on 18 May 2024, Pakistan Embassy in Dushanbe participated and represented Pakistan in the event organized by National Museum of Tajikistan. Resident Embassies in Dushanbe and other local companies & cultural entities also put their stalls at the event. Local Residents visited Pakistani stall and took keen interest in handmade artifacts, pottery and lamps made up of camel skin. Besides, they tasted Pakistani cuisine and enjoyed traditional dishes of Pakistan.
