Pakistan and Vietnam possess huge potential for developing Buddhist ties due to Pakistan’s rich Buddhist heritage. Most Venerable Thich Duc Thien, Secretary General of Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, along with a delegation, participated in the three-day Gandhara Symposium 2023 in Islamabad.
Three Monks representing the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha participated in Symposium titled: “From Gandhar to the World: The Legacy of Gandharan Buddhism” and an exhibition on Gandhara civilization, which were organized to observe the Vesak Day from 28-29 May 2024 in Islamabad
