Advisory for Pakistani Community Residing in Ukraine
Due to closure of Ukrainian airspace, travel in/out of Ukraine is carried out through neighbouring countries. In view of the security situation, and urgent travel requirement due to family / health emergencies. All Pakistani nationals in Ukraine are strongly advised to make prior travel arrangements in terms of validity of travel documents and obtaining visas of neighbouring countries. Following points should be duly considered:-
- Members of the Pakistani community are encouraged to obtain, where possible, valid visas or other required travel authorizations for neighboring countries bordering Ukraine, including Poland, Romania, Hungary and Moldova.
- Passports remain valid for at least six months and that they maintain updated copies of important documents, including residence permits, visas, birth certificates, marriage certificates, educational records, and emergency contact information. Electronic copies of these documents should also be securely stored and readily accessible.
- Those holding temporary residence permits in Ukraine should verify the visa and entry requirements of neighboring countries well in advance and avoid waiting until an emergency situation arises.
- Remain vigilant, maintain adequate emergency preparedness, keep sufficient financial resources available for unforeseen travel, and stay in regular contact with family members and the Embassy of Pakistan.
- The Embassy of Pakistan urges all Pakistani nationals in Ukraine to treat this advisory as a precautionary measure aimed at enhancing personal preparedness and safety.
