Ambassador Kohdayar Marri handed over the Letter of Commission to Mr. Tran Viet Anh as Honorary Consul General of Pakistan in Ho Chi Minh city during a ceremony organized by the Consular department of Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
During the ceremony, Mr. Doan Hoang Minh, Director General of Consular department of Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted that both countries enjoyed cordial ties and hoped that the appointment of Honorary Consul General in Ho Chi Minj City would definitely give the much-needed impetus to the bilateral ties.
Mr. Tran Viet Anh, Honorary Consul General, expressed gratitude to the government of Pakistan for the opportunity and assured that he would make all efforts to fulfil his duties in most efficient manner.
Ho Chi Minh city is not only the commercial hub of Vietnam but also home to majority of Pakistani community members in Vietnam. Therefore, appointment of an Honorary Consul General in Ho Chi Minh is a significant step to strengthen the commercial linkages and people-to-people contact between Pakistan and Vietnam.
