High Commission hosted an ‘Eid Milan Party’ to celebrate the Eid-ul Fitr with the Pakistani community in Maldives on 10 April 2024. A good number of Pakistani fellows including families and children joined the event.

While interacting with the community members; H.E. Vice Admiral (R) Muhammad Fayyaz Gilani, High Commissioner of Pakistan expressed that Eid-ul Fitr is the day of blessings and time to pay gratitude to Allah SWT, who bestowed us with the holy month of Ramadan and granted us the stemma to observe the same. High Commissioner extended Eid Greetings to the Government and the brotherly people of the Maldives and Muslims across the world. High Commissioner said that while we are celebrating this Eid; our thoughts turn to the plight of innocent Palestinians. He urged Muslims around the world to remember their Palestinian and Kashmiri brothers and sisters who are facing the worst kind of atrocities of the occupation forces.

Zulqurnain Ahmad, Deputy Head of Mission, earlier, welcomed the guests and extended warns Eid greetings to them. He also appreciated the national spirit and unity of the Pakistani community in the Maldives. The guests were served with traditional Pakistani cuisine.
