High Commissioner Mr. Imran Haider today called on H.E. Ms. Shama Obaed Islam, State Minister for Foreign Affairs. He congratulated Ms. Islam on assuming her office, noting that bilateral relations between Pakistan and Bangladesh are deeply rooted in common faith, shared history,cultural affinities and familial bonds.
He observed that bilateral cooperation across various spheres including political , education, trade, culture and people to people contacts is moving on a positive trajectory. Ms. Islam welcomed the High Commissioner and thanked him for sharing an overview of the ongoing cooperation.
She emphasised that both sides need to enhance engagements across all domains to harness the full potential of bilateral cooperation. The two sides agreed to further strengthen bilateral relations guided by a forward looking approach, mutual respect and sovereign equality.
