Youm-e-Istehsal Kashmir was observed at Pakistan Embassy Kabul today. On the occasion, messages of President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar were read during the ceremony.

Addressing the gathering, Pakistan’s Head of Mission to Afghanistan, Ambassador Ubaid-ur-Rehman Nizamani recalled the immense sacrifices rendered by the people of Jammu and Kashmir in their 77-year long struggle of freedom from the illegal and brutal Indian occupation. He paid glowing tributes to the Kashmiri leadership particularly Shaheed Syed Ali Geelani, the icon of Kashmiri steadfastness. He underlined that international community should not let India normalize its occupation and suppression of Kashmiris. India’s illegal occupation of Jammu and Kashmir was a gross violation of international law and a series of UNSC resolutions. Ambassador Nizamani reiterated Pakistan’s resolve to fulfill its responsibility to support the Kashmiris through political, moral and diplomatic means in their just struggle for their right to self-determination.
