The Embassy of Pakistan in the Republic of Tajikistan organized a media briefing session at the Embassy today on the new Visa Policy introduced by the Government of Pakistan. The journalists from different Tajik media groups attended the briefing.

Ambassador of Pakistan to Tajikistan, Muhammad Saeed Sarwar apprised the media about the new Visa Policy for nationals of Tajikistan. He informed that according to the new policy, the Tajik nationals would be able to obtain visa for Pakistan within 24 hours without any visa processing fee.

In the online Visa System of Pakistan, a new category has been added for business and tourism purposes known as “Visa Prior to Approval (VPA)”. The applicants have to create an account through the Pakistan Online Visa System Website https://visa.nadra.gov.pk and follow the simple procedure to submit the application.

The Ambassador, inter alia, highlighted the deep historic bond between Pakistan and Tajikistan which is anchored in shared heritage, culture, geography and faith. Recalling the recent visit of the Prime Minister of Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Tajikistan on 2-3 July 2024, he underlined that the visit gave a new impetus to Pakistan-Tajikistan bilateral ties. He added that important bilateral agreements were signed during the visit, including the historic “Strategic Partnership Agreement”
