The Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar will undertake a visit tonight to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to attend the Ministerial Meeting on Jerusalem on 5 August 2026, on the invitation extended by His Excellency Ayman Al Safadi, Deputy Prime Minister/Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of Jordan. The meeting will bring together Foreign Ministers from the Arab League and a group of Islamic countries, including Pakistan, with the aim of formulating a unified position on fast-deterioration of situation in the occupied Jerusalem.
The attending Foreign Ministers will also call on His Majesty King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein, King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, during the visit.
The Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister would also hold side-line bilateral meetings with the participating Foreign Ministers to exchange views on regional developments including Palestine, as well as other issues of mutual interest.
The Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister’s participation in the Ministerial Meeting on Jerusalem is a manifestation of Pakistan’s principled support for the Palestinian people and unwavering commitment to the establishment of an independent, sovereign and contiguous State of Palestine, based on the pre-1967 borders, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.
