Secondly, it has been reported that a Pakistani official in our High Commission in Dhaka was kidnapped recently. Similarly, it was also reported that one of their officials also disappeared in Islamabad and was subsequently found. The Bangladesh authorities summoned our High Commissioner in Dhaka regarding the disappearance of their official but we did not summon their High Commissioner when our official was kidnapped. Your comments. (Mateen Haider - Dawn News)
Answer
Our High Commissioner in New Delhi spoke to Mr. Anupam Kher three days before the Literature Festival to which he was invited. He was offered visa. However, Mr. Kher conveyed that he would not be able to visit Pakistan due to other commitments.
With regard to your second question, our High Commissioner in Dhaka was called in by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday, 2 February 2016, for discussion of various issues. The High Commissioner raised the issue of a Pakistani official who was illegally detained by the authorities in Bangladesh. Pakistan has always desired to maintain a positive relationship with Bangladesh. No date has been fixed for the Foreign Secretary-level talks.
As you have rightly pointed out, India continues to violate the human rights of and brutalize Kashmiris in the occupied Kashmir. Pakistan has always condemned these atrocities. With regard to your first question, I do not have any specific information but both sides are in touch at various levels regarding the use of Afghan soil by certain elements involved in the Charsadda terrorist attack.
With regard to your second question, I wish to underscore that, dossiers on India's involvement in fomenting terrorism in Pakistan have already been shared with the US and the UN.
