Honorable guests,
Media colleagues,
Ladies, and gentlemen,
It is my honor and privilege to welcome you all to the Foreign
Office for this interaction as we gather here after the Eid ul Fitr festivities have just concluded. First of all, I would like to extend my heartfelt Eid greetings to all of you present here today and to your families.
I would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge and appreciate the invaluable role that the media plays in shaping public discourse and promoting social cohesion. Your dedication to impartiality, integrity, truth and transparency is essential in upholding the values of democracy and free media.
Pakistan's foreign policy is guided by principles of peace, cooperation and mutual respect. We are committed to building bridges and seeking dialogue over discord and understanding over confrontation. Media outlets can play a defining role here by amplifying the government's message on key foreign policy issues.
In these challenging times that are faced by Pakistan, it is crucial for us to stand together in solidarity ensuring that the narratives carefully crafted by the foreign office are reached to the masses on national as well as international level.
The foreign office endeavors to engage constructively with the media to provide accurate information in order to keep the media up to date, and also to foster understanding of our foreign policy objectives.
As we move forward, let us continue to work hand in hand to work towards a common goal of Pakistan's prosperity and development. Together we can contribute to a more informed, empowered and cohesive Pakistani society.
I would like to once again express my gratitude for your cooperation and partnership in advancing the interests of Pakistan on the national and global stage.
Thank you.
