He holds an Engineering Degree from the University of Engineering & Technology, Lahore, and is also an alumnus of Government College, Lahore, and Cadet College Hasanabdal. He began his career in the Provincial Civil Service Punjab in 1994 and joined the Foreign Service of Pakistan in 2002. In May 2023, he assumed the role of Consul General of Pakistan in Toronto. His diplomatic career includes assignments in various Pakistan Missions Abroad, including Ankara, Turkey; Bradford, United Kingdom; and Ashgabat, Turkmenistan. At the Headquarters, he has served in multiple capacities, including as Director General (HQs & Finance), Director General (Policy Planning & Public Diplomacy), Director General (Africa), Director (Consular Affairs), and as Deputy Chief of Protocol, heading the provincial Camp Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He is married and has two sons and a daughter.
