Born in 1970.
Joined the Foreign Service of Pakistan in 1995.
Served at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Islamabad, in various capacities (1997-1998 and 1999-2000), Deputy Director (2005-2006), Director (2006-2007 & 2013-2014), Director General (2015) and Additional Foreign Secretary (2023-24). He also served as Director General (Foreign Service Academy), Islamabad from February to July 2024.
Held diplomatic assignments in Pakistan’s Missions abroad including in Germany (2000-2005); Bahrain (2007-2010); Romania (2010-2013) and Canada (2015-2019).
Served as High Commissioner of Pakistan to the United Republic of Tanzania (2020-2022) with concurrent accreditation to the East African Community.
He is serving as the High Commissioner for Pakistan to Canada since January 2025. He is concurrently accredited to the Federation of Saint Christopher (St. Kitts) and Navis and the Representative to International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), Montreal.
Has a masters degree in Strategy and Diplomacy from the National University of Malaysia, Kebangsaan. He is also graduate from the National Defence University, Islamabad, Pakistan.
Speaks English, Urdu and German languages.
