Served at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Islamabad, in various capacities (1997-1998 and 1999-2000), Deputy Director (2005-2006), Director (2006-2007 & 2013-2014), Director General (2015) and Additional Foreign Secretary (2023-24).
Held diplomatic assignments in Pakistan’s Missions abroad including in Germany (2000-2005); Bahrain (2007-2010); Romania (2010-2013) and Canada (2015-2019).
Served as High Commissioner of Pakistan to the United Republic of Tanzania (2020-2022) with concurrent accreditation to the East African Community.
Has a masters degree in Strategy and Diplomacy from the National University of Malaysia, Kebangsaan. He is also graduate from the National Defence University, Islamabad, Pakistan.
