Pakistan and Tunisia enjoy close and cordial relations ever since independence of Tunisia in 1956. Pakistan set up its first diplomatic mission in Tunis on 25^th March 1958 at the level of Charge affairs upgraded to Ambassadorial status in 1964. Tunisia reciprocated in 1980 by establishing its Embassy in Islamabad. Pakistan and Tunisia ties pre-exist latter’s independence which came about with substantive moral and political support from Pakistan. Both countries support international fora.
