Joint Commission for Bilateral Cooperation
Islamabad. The last (2nd) meeting of the Commission was held in Brunei on 16-17 March 2006. The meeting agreed to expand economic and trade cooperation in various sectors. The two countries also agreed to facilitate exchange of business delegations and services between the two countries. The meeting provided technical framework for bilateral cooperation in the fields of science and technology, defence, petroleum and natural resources, health, and cultural cooperation. The 3 rd session is pending since 2017. High Commission made efforts to revive this important forum. Economic Affairs Division, being the co-chair of the Joint Commission has recommended to convene the 3rd Session in Islamabad in December 2025.
