Copy of the petition/complaint received from the petitioner would be shared by this Consulate General with the concerned authorities of the Government of Pakistan requesting earliest possible resolution/redressal.

 

IMPORTANT NOTICE

It has come to the notice of the Consulate General of Pakistan, Montreal that some unscrupulous elements are unauthorisedly retaining the passports of Pakistani citizens. The Regulations on the back cover of Pakistan Passport clearly state that "Only an authorized officer can amend or add to the Passport. Any person who changes or amends a passport is punishable under the law. Moreover, any person who unauthorizedly/illegally retains a passport, is also punishable ".

Affectees of such acts may please approach this Mission (parepmontreal1@mofa.gov.pk, WhatsApp message:+1 514 512 2297) for (a) registering complaints for administrative/legal action against persons involved in the act, and (b) seeking advice on further steps including
the possibility of the issuance of a new passport.

 قونصلیٹ جنرل آف پاکستان، مونٹریال کے علم میں لایا گیا ہےکہ کچھ غیرذمہ دار اشخاص غیرمجازطورپرپاکستانی شہریوں کے پاسپورٹس اپنے پاس رکھے ہوۓ ہیں- پاکستان پاسپورٹ کے پچھلے ورق پر ضوابط میں صاف لکھا ہے کہ " پاسپورٹ میں تبدیلی یا اضافہ وغیرہ صرف مجاز عہد یدار کرسکتا ہے ۔ قانون کی رو سے ایسے اشخاص موجب سزا قرار دیئے جا سکتے ہیں جو پاسپورٹ میں کسی قسم کی تبدیلی یا ردو بدل کریں - نیز ایسے لوگ بھی سزا کے مستحق ہیں جن کے قبضے میں ناجائز طور پر ایسا پاسپورٹ ہو جو انھیں قانونی طورسے نہ دیا گیا ہو"۔
