1. Syrian President Shukri al-Quwatli - 14 January 1957.
2. President Hafez al-Assad visited Lahore in 1974 to attend Islamic Summit.
3. Foreign Minister Walid Al Mousallem visited Islamabad on 15-17 May 2007 to attend the 34^th ICFM held in Islamabad.
4. Dr Darem Tabba, Minister for education visited Pakistan in 2021.

A delegation comprising of six (06) officials of the Ministry of  Education and Higher Education visited Pakistan on 1-9 May 2024 under the leadership of the Deputy Education Minster Dr Rami al Dhulli.

Milestone Support:

• Several MoUs and agreements were concluded between the two countries covering different domains of bilateral cooperation, including economic, cultural, educational, tourism …etc.
• In October 2021, Syrian and Pakistani commercial airlines began to operate flights between the two countries.

Bilateral Political Consultation between Pakistan and Syria

An MOU was signed between the Foreign Ministries of Pakistan and Syria on 18 May 2007 during the Syrian Foreign Minister's visit to Pakistan. The MOU provides for annual political consultations between the two Foreign Ministries.

Defence Cooperation

• Cooperation between Syrian and Pakistan in defence existed till the start of civil war. The Syrian Armed Forces generally utilized those courses which are offered on gratis basis.
• Pakistan has a rich history of military cooperation with the Syrian government, especially during Arab-Israel war in 1973. The two countries extended annual training facilities on reciprocal basis at their respective Command and Staff College before war.
• These arrangements are suspended due to current situation.

Joint Syria-Pakistan Tourism Committee

• Pakistan and Syria signed bilateral Agreement on Tourism on 21 January 1992. A Protocol on setting up of Pak-Syria Committee on Tourism was signed in 1996.

In 2022, Pakistan and Syria had signed two MoUs on trade and hospitality in sector of tourism.
