To commemorate the 60th anniversary of the Xizang Autonomous Region, Mr. Tanvir Ahmad, Consul General of Pakistan in Chengdu, attended the 2025 "Trans-Himalaya" International Conference of Entrepreneurs. This conference, is a key follow-up to the China Xizang "Trans-Himalaya" Forum for International Cooperation. The theme "Gathering Trans-Himalayan Forces to Release Development Momentum" highlighted the importance of regional cooperation in ecological protection, industrial, agriculture, tourism, technological and cultural cooperation.
The conference focused on industries such as eco-tourism, health medicine, and clean energy, aiming to implement cooperation agreements and build a lasting platform for government, business, and academia collaboration. As a significant part of the Trans-Himalaya Forum, the conference serves as a high-end dialogue platform for business and industrial cooperation in western China.
Mr. Tanvir during Trans-Himalaya Dialogues session emphasized the need for coordinating commercial and financial regulations in South Asia, drawing on China's "Belt and Road Initiative" experience, to unlock cross-border trade potential and promote regional cooperation.
He also stressed the importance of youth exchanges, cultural tourism integration, and cooperation in emerging economic fields to drive regional development. By leveraging geographical advantages and promoting people-centered cooperation, Pakistan seeks to contribute to the region's sustainable development and connectivity.
