FIRST-TIME ISSUANCE OF PAKISTAN PASSPORT

Requirements:

Physical presence of the Applicant
Applicant's Valid NIC and copy
Applicant’s Foreign Passport and copy (if held)
Applicant’s Proof of Residence at the current address (e.g. rent agreement, driver’s license, copy of a utility bill, etc.)
Parents’ physical presence in case of a minor Applicant
Father's Pakistani or Foreign ID Card/Passport and its copy
Mother's Pakistani or Foreign ID Card/Passport (showing husband's name) and copy

At least one of the parents should present Pakistani documents,
The mother should present at least one government issued document showing her husband’s name as appearing in the child’s Birth Certificate

In case of a single parent having custody of the minor Applicant through Court Order, original Court Order and its attested English translation with the section on child custody is clearly marked.
In case of an adult Applicant, an application (i) containing reasons for not obtaining the passport earlier, and (ii) assuring that the Applicant has not applied for Pakistan passport anywhere else.

Applicants can pay by Debit Card at the PoS machine at the Consular Counter of the Mission. Alternatively, payment can be deposited at the Bank of Montreal through bank transfer. Proof of the deposit of the fee is required in the latter case.

Processing Time:

As soon as the consignment of passports is received, a list of Passports ready for collection is posted by the Consulate General on its Facebook page which the Applicants may please check: https://www.facebook.com/PakinMontreal/

Passports ready for delivery can be collected on any workday between 0900hrs-1200hrs upon presentation of original token either in person or through a duly authorized third person/courier service.

RENEWAL OF PAKISTAN PASSPORT

Requirements for passport renewal at the Consulate General (Applicants can apply online: https://onlinemrp.dgip.gov.pk/):

Passport Renewal can be applied six months before to six months after the expiry of the existing Passport. Renewal request outside of these time limits can be entertained if the Applicant explains in a written application giving justification/circumstances of the renewal request and relevant letter from host countries authorities requiring longer duration passport. Also the existing passport should be presented for cancellation upon the delivery of the new passport.
Physical presence of the Applicant
Valid CNIC/NICOP/SNIC and copy (passport is issued on the CNIC/NICOP/SNIC particulars on the date of submitting passport application)
Existing original Pakistani Passport and copy
Foreign Passport and copy (if held)
Proof of current address e.g. government issued document showing address, recently paid utility bill, rent agreement, educational institution’s card, employment letter of a local company etc.
In the case of a minor Applicant, the following are also required:

Physical presence of both the parents with the minor
Minor Child's CNIC/NICOP/SNIC and copy (passport is prepared on the CNIC/NICOP/SNIC particulars on the date of submitting passport application)
Minor Child's original Pakistani Passport and copy
Minor Child’s Foreign Passport and copy (if held)
Father's Pakistani or Foreign ID Card/ Passport and copy
Mother's Pakistani or Foreign ID Card/ Passport and copy

In case of a single parent having custody of the minor Applicant through Court Order, original Court Order and its attested English translation with part on child custody clearly marked.
In case of loss of Passport, Lost Passport’s copy and Passport Loss Report from the concerned Police showing lost passport’s details (in such cases the Applicant should provide all the required documents and the applicable fee at the time of the submission of the passport application. He would then need to seek an appointment for the issuance of a new passport after the verification of the last passport/national status has been undertaken by this Office.)
