First Anniversary of Marka-e-Haq
To commemorate the first anniversary of Marka-e-Haq, a dignified ceremony was held at Consulate General of Pakistan in Montreal Canada on 9th May 2026.
The event paid tribute to the great valor and commitment of Pakistan’s armed forces for the defence of Pakistan, under the leadership of Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir.
The ceremony highlighted the significance of the events of May 2025 that brought together the whole nation and rose Pakistan as a militarily strong and politically independent nation.
The event brought together largest ever number of Pakistanis living in greater Montreal area, representing community members from academia, business, civil society and also students of McGill and Concordia universities.
The event commenced with humble gratitudes to Almighty for His blessings of victory and steadfastness in the challenging times followed by a documentary highlighting the historic success of Marka-e-Haq and the bravery, professionalism, and sacrifices of the Armed Forces of Pakistan.
In his remarks, the Consul General of Pakistan in Montreal , Faisal Abro, shared the political and military significance of Marka-e-Haq. He paid tribute to the martyrs and ghazis of Pakistan and underscored that while Pakistan remains always ready to guard against any aggression, it is also committed to peace, and resolution of disputes through dialogue.
The large gathering of Pakistani community, hailing from all provinces of Pakistan, warmly participated in the event and reiterated their commitment for strengthening the country’s image abroad.
The event concluded with prayers for the progress and prosperity of Pakistan and a renewed pledge of unity and resilience.
