NADRA Facilitation Desk - Washington D.C. 

The National Database & Registration Authority (NADRA) provides online services for Overseas Pakistanis to apply for or manage NICOP, CNIC, POC, and FRC from home. All applications must be submitted via https://id.nadra.gov.pk or through the Pak-ID Mobile App (iOS & Android).

NADRA does not maintain a permanent office at the Embassy. The NADRA Facilitation Desk at the Embassy is available by appointment only to assist applicants who face difficulties with online processing.

If you have already initiated an online application, please bring your login credentials to receive assistance.

Services Available at the Embassy (By Appointment):

• NICOP issuance, renewal, or modification
• Pakistan Origin Card (POC)
• Family Registration Certificate (FRC)
• Biometric verification for Succession Certificates
• Limited document guidance and attestation assistance.

 

General Fee Policy

• All fees are non-refundable
• Payments are accepted online via debit/credit card only
• An additional US$26 as Embassy Service Charge applies per application.
• NICOP fees are paid directly to NADRA, Pakistan. Inform your bank in advance to enable international transactions.

 

Requirements by Service

1. NICOP (First Time / Renewal / Modification)

• Existing NICOP/CNIC/Manual NIC (if applicable)
• Pakistani passport (valid or expired)
• Proof of legal U.S. status or U.S. passport and state-issued photo ID
• Birth Certificate / Form “B” / Matric Certificate / Pakistani educational degree
• Parents’ CNIC/NICOP or manual NIC (copies, if applicable)
• Spouse’s CNIC/NICOP and marriage certificate (or divorce certificate, if applicable)

• Siblings’ CNIC/NICOP (if available)
• S-1 Form (for children born abroad, attested by Pakistani Embassy/Consulate)
• Two verifiers with CNIC/NICOP copies and contact numbers

(Verifiers cannot be parents, children, spouse, or siblings).

 

1. Succession Certificate (Biometric Only)

(Application must be initiated in Pakistan)

• Applicant’s CNIC/NICOP
• Succession Certificate Application Tracking ID

 

1. Family Registration Certificate (FRC)

• CNIC/NICOP copies and passport-size photos (white background) of listed family members

 

Note: Family records must already be linked and updated in NADRA’s database. If updates are required, verification may take 4–7 working days before FRC submission.

 

Processing Times (Subject to NADRA HQ Approval)

NICOP Executive: 14 days

NICOP Urgent: 3–4 weeks

NICOP Normal: 4–6 weeks

POC Executive: 2 weeks

POC Urgent: 4 weeks

FRC: 3–4 days

Cancellation (NICOP/CNIC/POC): 7–10 days

Succession Biometric: US $ 26/-

Please note that NADRA services are provided strictly on an appointment basis, and walk-ins are not accepted unless in cases of emergency.
