Public diplomacy complements traditional diplomatic engagement by building understanding, trust and lasting connections between societies. The Embassy’s public diplomacy initiatives present Pakistan’s perspectives, achievements and aspirations to audiences across the United States.

Through engagement with universities, think tanks, media organizations, civil-society institutions, youth groups and community leaders, the Embassy encourages informed discussion on Pakistan’s foreign policy, economy, society, heritage and role in the international community. Conferences, lectures, exhibitions, digital campaigns and cultural programmes provide platforms for dialogue and the exchange of ideas.

The Embassy also uses digital diplomacy to communicate directly with the public, share official information and highlight developments in Pakistan. Particular emphasis is placed on engaging young people, professionals, scholars, journalists, entrepreneurs and opinion leaders.
